COVID-19 Response

These are unprecedented and difficult times in our community. As a medical practice providing care that often should not be delayed, we are forced to make some tough decisions that we believe are in the best interest of our patients, staff and providers to limit exposure and help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

MERCE Family Healthcare has made the difficult decision to no longer allow any support people or children to enter our office to attend the patient’s appointment. We realize this decision may be upsetting to some patients, especially our obstetrical patients but this is in the best interest of all patients being seen.

In addition to limiting visitors, we are now limiting face-to-face visits. If you have a currently scheduled visit for pregnancy or family planning, your visit will remain a face-to-face visit with your provider unless we advise you otherwise. All other scheduled visits will now become telephonic and your provider will contact you by telephone within 30 minutes of your scheduled appointment time. If further follow-up is required, you will receive instructions from your provider during your telephone visit.

We want you to know we are going to continue providing care in our office, whether that be face-to-face or via telemedicine, as long as we possibly can! If you are experiencing an urgent need please continue to call our office to schedule an appointment. If you have fever, cough or flu symptoms, please call our office for further instruction. If you are having extreme difficulty breathing call 911 or seek immediate assistance in the emergency room. Thank you for your continued support and understanding of MERCE Family Healthcare during these unprecedented times in our community.
